Present progressive/continuous
Verlaufsform der Gegenwart
Diese Zeitform (auch progressive form oder continuous form oder ing-form genannt) ist
typisch für die englische Sprache. Wir kennen sie im Deutschen nicht.
Du verwendest das present progressive oder continuous, wenn du ausdrücken willst,
dass etwas jetzt gerade geschieht, bzw. jemand jetzt gerade etwas tut.
I am reading a book.
You are reading a book.
He is reading a book.
She is reading a book.
It is reading a book.
We are reading a book.
You are reading a book.
They are reading a book.
Subjekt + am/is/are + Verb + -ing
Question/Frage:
Willst du die Frage bilden, dann geht das ganz einfach, nämlich genauso wie bei
„to be“.
Am I reading a book?
Are you reading a book?
Is he reading a book?
Are we reading a book?
Are you reading a book?
Are they reading a book?
am/is/are + Subjekt + Verb + -ing
Negation/Verneinung:
Auch die Verneinung funktioniert wie bei “to be”.
I am not reading a book.
You are not reading a book.
She is not reading a book.
We are not reading a book.
You are not reading a book.
They are not reading a book.
Subjekt + am/is/are + not + Verb + -ing

Present progressive/continuous
Achtung! Bei Verben (Zeitwörtern), die auf -y enden, verändert sich das y nicht.
Beispiele:
carry k
buy

carrying

Bei Verben auf -e fällt das e weg und -ing wird angehängt.
Beispiele:
write k
bake k
writing
baking
Mitlaute nach kurz gesprochenen Vokalen werden bei -ing verdoppelt.
Beispiele:
