The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is the worldwide leading authority on competent project,
programme and portfolio management with presently 68 national Member Associations. IPMA´s members develop
competencies for project, programme and portfolio management in their geographic areas of influence, interacting
with thousands of practitioners and developing relationships with corporations, government agencies, universities
and colleges, as well as training organizations and consulting companies.
GPM, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V. is member of IPMA and influences IPMA significantly
during the last fifty years. At present, GPM is represented through Reinhard W agner (President of IPMA), W erner
Schmehr (Chairman of Certification and Validation Management Board), Prof. Dr. Yvonne Schoper (Coordinator for
IPMA´s Research Conferences) and Niklas Bein (Member of Young Crew Management Board).
The Executive Board (ExBo) of IPMA is responsible for the operational management of IPMA and sets the practical
guidelines for all approved activities and represents IPMA in all external relations. ExBo is deeply committed to
promoting project-related competences globally. The board reflects the international character of IPMA.

During its meeting in July, ExBo offered pm-forum augsburg to perform a “meet & greet”. So, we are proud to
invite you for this unique chance for catching up on upcoming trends and perspectives on project management
by meeting the world-wide leading authority. You will also have the chance to talk and have discussions about the
role of universities on project management education or to get informed about your personal interests concerning
your project management career.
