10. Cererea de înscriere la concurs înseamnǎ acceptarea
integralǎ de cǎtre candidat a condiţiilor stabilite de prezentul
regulament.
11. Toţi candidaţii înscrişi la concurs se vor prezenta în ziua de 9
iulie 2007 la Filarmonica de Stat Sibiu, in vederea stabilirii, prin
tragere la sorţi, a ordinii de prezentare la concurs.
12. Toate probele de concurs sunt publice şi se vor desfǎşura la
sediul Filarmonicii de Stat Sibiu.
Premiile se vor înmâna in cadrul unui concert de galǎ al
laureaţilor.
REGULAMENT
1. AI XII-lea Concurs Internaţional de pian şi compoziţie
“CARL FILTSCH“ va avea loc la Sibiu între 9 – 15 iulie 2007 în
memoria ilustrului muzician transilvǎnean (nǎscut in anul 1830 la
Sebeş-Alba/România şi mort in anul 1845 la Veneţia).
2. Concursul este deschis tinerilor muzicieni
lumea şi se va desfǎşura pe trei categorii de vârstǎ.

premia cele mai valoroase compoziţii pentru pian ale tinerilor
competitori.

13. Juriul este alcǎtuit din personalitǎţi recunoscute pe plan
zilnic între orele 8 – 20 la Şcoala de Muzicǎ şi la Scoala Popularǎ
de Artǎ.
15. Compoziţiile lui Carl Filtsch (1830 – 1845), nǎscut lângǎ
Sibiu, devenit deja la vârsta de12 ani elevul preferat al lui
Chopin, situându-se alǎturi de Liszt şi Thalberg printre cele mai
viguroase talente ale secolului al XIX-lea, se gǎsesc în colecţie în
ediţia:

Compoziţiile obligatorii de Carl Filtsch se distribuie la cerere,
gratuit, de cǎtre secretariatul concursului.
16. Cazare şi intreţinere
Informaţii privitoare la posibilitǎţile de cazare se pot obţine la
Secretariatul Filarmonicii. Organizatorii preiau cheltuielile de
cazare pentru primii 30 candidaţi înscrişi la concurs.

PROGRAMUL CONCURSULUI
Pentru participanţii grupelor A şi B concursul se desfǎşoară
într-o singurǎ etapǎ.
Categoria A:
Durata totalǎ a programului sǎ fie de cel puţin 10 minute,
dar sǎ nu depǎşeascǎ 15 minute. Programul trebuie sǎ cuprindǎ
compoziţii din urmǎtoarele trei categorii:

la alegere, una, sau mai multe lucrări polifonice din muzica
barocǎ
una din urmǎtoarele două compoziţii de Carl Filtsch:
Romance sau Barcarole
o compoziţie (sau mai multe) la libera alegere a
candidatului
Facultativ: una sau mai multe compoziţii proprii cu o duratǎ
minimǎ de 2 minute a cǎror prezentare se include in durata
maximǎ de timp acordatǎ fiecǎrui candidat.
Categoria B:
Durata totalǎ a programului sǎ fie de cel puţin 20 minute,
fǎrǎ a depǎşi durata de 25 de minute. Programul
trebuie sǎ cuprindǎ compoziţii din urmǎtoarele trei categorii:

minimă de 2 minute a cǎror prezentare se include în durata
maximǎ de timp acordatǎ fiecǎrui candidat.

Categoria C:
7. Posesorii unui premiu I la ediţiile anterioare ale Concursului
Carl Filtsch nu mai pot participa la aceeaşi categorie.
Concursul candidaţilor înscrişi la categoria C se va desfǎşura în
douǎ etape. Etapa I acordǎ candidaţilor o duratǎ de timp între 15
si 20 minute şi cuprinde obligatoriu creaţii din urmǎtoarele trei
categorii de compoziţii:

categorii, sau de a impǎrţi premiile in cadrul categoriilor la mai
mulţi candidaţi.

una dintre urmǎtoarele compoziţii de Carl Filtsch: Impromtu
în sol bemol major; Impromptu în si bemol minor;
Introducere şi Variaţiuni în la major (numai tema cu
variaţiuni)
Facultativ: una sau mai multe compoziţii proprii cu durata minimǎ
de 3 minute, a cǎror prezentare se include în durata maximǎ de
timp acordatǎ fiecǎrui competitor.
Etapa II-a acordǎ candidaţilor promovaţi o duratǎ de timp între
25 şi 30 de minute. Repertoriul va cuprinde în mod obligatoriu
urmǎtoarele:

o parte în formǎ de sonatǎ dintr-o sonatǎ de Haydn, Mozart
sau Beethoven
una sau mai multe piese din muzica romanticǎ
una sau mai multe compoziţii aparţinând muzicii
impresioniste sau contemporane.

Programul tuturor categoriilor de vârstǎ trebuie interpretat
fără partitură. Competitorii vor prezenta juriului
partiturile
lucrǎrilor interpretate, inclusiv cele ale creaţiilor proprii.
Premianţii au obligaţia sǎ participe la concertul de galǎ;
în caz contrar pierd dreptul la premii.

Taxa de participare la concurs pentru candidaţii din România şi
din ţǎrile est-europene este de 50 RON (lei noi) pentru toate cele
trei categorii de vârstǎ. Pentru candidaţii din alte ţǎri taxa de
participare este de 30 €. Taxa de participare la concurs se va
achita la data de 9 iulie 2007 la Secretariatul FestivaluluiConcurs între orele 9 – 14 la sediul Filarmonicii de Stat Sibiu.
AUSSCHREIBUNG
10. Mit der Anmeldung erklärt sich der Kandidat mit sämtlichen
Wettbewerbsbedingungen einverstanden.
11. Alle Bewerber sollen sich am 9. Juli 2007 in der
Hermannstädter Staatsphilharmonie einfinden, um die
Reihenfolge der Wertungsspiele durch das Los zu ermitteln.
12. Alle Ausscheidungsprüfungen sind öffentlich und finden im
Saal der Staatsphilharmonie Hermannstadt statt. Die Preise
werden anläßlich eines Preisträgerkonzerts überreicht.
13. Die Jury setzt sich aus international anerkannten
Musikerpersönlichkeiten (Pianisten und Komponisten)
zusammen.
14. Übungsräume: Sowohl in den Räumen der Musikschule als
auch der Volkskunstschule besteht für die Kandidaten, während
der gesamten Dauer des Wettbewerb- Festivals, die Möglichkeit
zwischen 8 - 20 Uhr zu üben.
15. Die Kompositionen von CARL FILTSCH (1830-1845) der
nahe von Sibiu-Hermannstadt geboren wurde und bereits mit 12
Jahren als Lieblingsschüler Chopins neben Liszt und Thalberg zu
den berühmtesten Pianisten des 19. Jahrhunderts gehörte, sind
im Sammelband bei:

1. Das XII. Klavier- und Kompositions-Wettbewerb-Festival
“CARL FILTSCH“ findet zwischen dem 9. bis 15. Juli 2007 in
Sibiu-Hermannstadt / Rumänien statt. Diese Veranstaltung ist
dem Andenken dieses außergewöhnlichen siebenbürgischen
Musikers gewidmet, der 1830 in Mühlbach (Siebenbürgen)
geboren wurde, und 1845 in Venedig starb.
2. Das internationale Treffen junger Pianisten und
Komponisten “Carl Filtsch“ steht jugendlichen Teilnehmern aus
aller Welt offen, und wird in 3 Altersstufen ausgetragen:

3. Außer den Klavierinterpretationen wird die Jury die besten
Klavierkompositionen der Teilnehmer bewerten und mit Preisen
auszeichnen.

WETTBEWERBSPROGRAMM
Bei den Teilnehmern der Kategorien A und B erfolgt der
Wettbewerb in einem Durchgang.
Kategorie A:
erhältlich, können aber auch über das Sekretariat des
Wettbewerb-Festivals bezogen werden.
Die Gesamtspieldauer sollte mindestens 10, jedoch höchstens
15 Minuten betragen. Im Programm müssen Werke von jeder der

Der Wettbewerb der Kategorie C enthält zwei Durchgänge. Im
ersten Durchgang, der eine Gesamtspieldauer zwischen 15 und
20 Minuten hat, sollten Werke von jeder der drei nachfolgenden
Kategorien vertreten sein:

eine der folgenden drei Kompositionen von Carl Filtsch:
Impromptu in b-moll; Impromptu in Ges-Dur, Introduktion
und Variationen A-Dur (hiervon nur Thema mit Variationen)
Fakultativ: eine oder mehrere Eigenkompositionen, die in die
maximale Spieldauer einbezogen werden und eine Mindestdauer
von 3 Minuten haben sollten.
Im zweiten Durchgang mit einer Gesamtspieldauer zwischen 25
und 30 Minuten, ist folgendes Repertoire vorzutragen:

Alle Werke sind auswendig vorzutragen, wobei das
Notenmaterial des gesamten Repertoires
(Eigenkompositionen inbegriffen) der Jury zur Einsicht zur
Verfügung stehen muß.
Wettbewerbs können nicht mehr in derselben Kategorie
teilnehmen.
8. Die Jury behält sich das Recht vor, Preise nicht zu
Die Preisträger sind verpflichtet am Preisträgerkonzert
teilzunehmen, andernfalls verlieren sie ihren Preis.

Die Teilnahmegebühr für Kandidaten aus Rumänien und
den Ost-Europäischen Staaten beträgt RON 50. Für Kandidaten

Wettbewerbes am 9. Juli 2007 zwischen 9 -14 Uhr
zu entrichten und ist nicht rückzahlbar.
11. All participants should be present at the Sibiu State
Philharmonic, on the 9th of July, 2007, in order to determine the
order of auditions by lot.
12. All auditions are public and will take place at the
headquarters of the State Philharmonic of Sibiu. The prizes will
be awarded at the prize winners’ concert.
13. The jury is made up of internationally recognized pianists and
composers.
14. Practice rooms: between 8 and 20 hours candidates may
practise in the rooms of the Music School as well as the Art
School throughout the duration of the competition.
15. Carl Filtsch (1830-1845) was born near Sibiu -Hermannstadt
and was already at the age of twelve as favourite pupil of Chopin,
Liszt and Thalberg one of the most famous pianists of the19th
century. His compositions are available in the following collected

1. From the 9th until 15th of July 2007, the XII. International
“Carl Filtsch“ Competition for Performing and Composing Piano
Music will take place in Sibiu-Hermannstadt / Romania. The
competition festival is dedicated to the memory of this
exceptional Transylvanian musician who was born in 1830 in
Sebeş-Alba-Mühlbach (Transylvania) and died in Venice in 1845.
2. Young musicians from all over the world are invited to
participate in this international meeting of young pianists and
composers. The competition will be organised for three age
groups:

two etudes from opus 10 or opus 25 of Chopin (not opus
25, No. 7)
one of the following three compositions of Carl Filtsch:
Impromptu in B flat minor, Impromptu in G flat major,
Introduction and Variations in A major (only the theme and
variations are to be played)
Optional: one or more own compositions that will be included in
the maximum playing time and have a minimum duration of three
minutes.
In the second round with repertoire duration of 25 to 30 minutes,
the following repertoire is required:

a movement in sonata form from a sonata by Haydn,
Mozart or Beethoven
one or more pieces from the Romantic period
one or more impressionist or contemporary pieces
All pieces in all age categories are to be played by memory.
The music of the total programme, including own
compositions, must be submitted to the jury for inspection.
First-prize winners of previous editions of Carl Filtsch
competitions cannot participate anymore in the same group.
8.
The jury reserves the right not to award prizes or to divide
them among candidates within the different categories.
Prizewinners are obliged to participate in the prizewinner’s
concerts; otherwise, they will lose the right to the prize awarded
to them.

Exact description of the programme with the duration of
the individual pieces
A participation fee for candidates from Romania and other
East - European countries is 50 RON. For candidates from other
countries the fee is 30 €.
This fee must be paid at the secretariat of the competition on
the 9th of July 2007 between 9 and 14 o’clock and is not
refundable.
10. With the application the candidate is bound to the regulations
of the competition.
