Installation Guide – Microsoft SQL Server
The installation of Microsoft SQL Server is required. If you already have a MS SQL Server
installation located on your computer or on your server, you can make the configuration in
the REBEAT Digital software by clicking at the menu "Accounting -> Data base settings".
Or you can download and install the MS SQL Server 2008 express edition for free from the
Microsoft website.
Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Express is a powerful and reliable data management
system that delivers a rich set of features, data protection, and performance for
applications, and local data stores.

System requirements
Supported operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server
2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Windows XP

32-bit systems

Computer with Intel or compatible 1GHz or faster processor (2 GHz or faster
is recommended.)
1.4 GHz or faster processor

Minimum of 512 MB of RAM (2 GB or more is recommended.)

2.2 GB of available hard disk space
Instructions
We recommend you read the Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Release Notes and Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Readme before installing Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008
R2.
Step 1: Download and install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1.
Step 2: Download and install Windows Installer 4.5.
Step 3: Download and install Windows PowerShell 1.0.
Step 4: Download SQL Server 2008 R2 Express with Management Tools by clicking the
appropriate link below.
Step 5: Enabling Remote SQL Express 2008 Network Connections on
XP/Vista/Win7/Win8

Database settings
Change database settings in the REBEAT Digital Software by clicking on „Menu -> Accounting ->
Database settings…“ and follow the steps as the images show below.

Server installation: Enter the name of the server where the MS SQL Server Instance is
installed, like {server name}\{instance name} or without instance name then type only
{server name}
For local installation: Enter „localhost\sqlexpress“ like the image shows below
