Background, motivation
• Our experiences come from projects, investigations of
the usage of NoSQL for GIS (see publications)
• Idea of a workshop, Intro, hands-on, invited speakers
• Objectives:
 to introduce NoSQL-database concepts and the applicability of these
databases in the field of GI,
 to give a practical insight in one of the NoSQL-databases and their
usage for GI,
 the presentation and analysis of research projects and subsequently an
identification of new related research fields.
