Klaus-Peter Bruchmann,
geboren 1932, lebt als freischaffender Komponist in
Borgsdorf bei Berlin. Seine musikalische Ausbildung erhielt er am Städtischen
Konservatorium Berlin. (ehem. Stern und heute Hochschule der Künste).
Die bevorzugten Arbeitsgebiete sind die sinfonische Unterhaltungsmusik und die konzertante
Blasmusik. Zusammen mit Film-,Fernseh- und Hörspielmusiken entstanden bisher ca. 240
Kompositionen.
Als Juror bei nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben für Blasmusik war er in mehreren
europäischen Ländern tätig, darunter in der ehemaligen DDR, der ehemaligen CSSR, Polen,
Ungarn, Dänemark, Österreich, Belgien, Schweden und Finnland. Über zehn Jahre war er als
Vorsitzender der Sektion „Unterhaltungs- und Blasmusik“ im Verband Deutscher
Komponisten tätig und ist Gründungsmitglied des Borgsdorfer Kreises.

Klaus-Peter Bruchmann, born in 1932, is active as a freelance composer at Borgsdorf near
Berlin. He was received his musical education at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in
Berlin. (This institution was formerly known as the Stern Conservatory of Music, and today is
the University of Fine Arts in Berlin.)
His favorite fields of activities are symphonic light music and concert wind-music. Including
his works for movies, television and radio plays, he is credited with some 240 compositions.
He was in demand as an adjudicator at national and international contests in various European
countries, among them the former German Democratic Republic, the former Czechoslovakia,
Poland, Hungary, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, and Finland. For more than ten years
he served as chairman of the section “Light Music and Wind Music” of the Association of
German Composers, and he is a founding member of the Borgsdorf Circle.
