For our client we are looking for a Oracel database architects who can support the local teams
from January on in the following tasks:
■ Design and implementation of solutions in Oracle DBA environment
■ Physical design of databases and applications in challenging projects
■ Performance analysis and tuning of databases
■ Definition and setup of replicated, highly available environments
■ Backup & Recovery, conception and implementation
Anforderungen
■ Several years of practical experience as a specialist or DB DB Administrator
■ Practical experience in installation, migration of database environments
■ Experience in the tuning of databases and SQL statements
■ Good knowledge in PL / SQL and OS knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Unix
■ Configuration, management and monitoring of databases
■ Knowledge in the field of fault-tolerant architectures
■ Implementation of physical database structuresTasks:Workload analysis
■ Data warehouses and data marts
■ (near real-time) analytics
■ Mixed workloads (batch-oriented transaction processing and reporting)
■ Pure high-volume OLTP would be a further category, but is currently handled by DHP Class A
■ Review existing DHP product catalogue
■ Review DHP entry criteriaDeliverables/ Objectives:
■ Delineation between Very Large Databases (VLDB) and large standard Data Hosting Platform (DHP)
offering
■ VLDB entry criteria catalogue definition
■ VLDB Service product offering definition
■ Concepts and processes capable of handling very large data volumesDesign characteristics:
■ VLDB Extensions: additions to base build required for VLDBs (storage setup, storage
connectivity, OS and database configuration)
■ VLDB Management features: Concepts and tools required for administering and running VLDBs
(backup, cloning, migration, tuning)
■ Profile-specific architecture and integrationProduct offering
■ Based on DHP Oracle base build (including CSL)
■ Integrated platform with workload profile-specific customizations and integration (e.g.,
security, DR)
■ Dedicated environment (in particular, storage management)
■ Dedicated, senior operation teams
■ Concepts and processes capable of handling very large data volumes (capacity and performance
management, backup, cloning, etc.)Languages: Englisch, German an advantage
