We are a non-partisan, non-profit organisation based in Berlin. Since our founding in 2009,
we are working on developing innovative techniques and methods to promote citizen participation. The core of our work revolves around the development of Adhocracy, a free software
and digital participation framework providing users with various civic participation tools.
You will be part of our development team, writing web applications in a Scrum process.
About the Job
You will be working closely together with our developers, designer and projectmanagers to
build our free open source software for online participation.
This includes implementing features, frontend and backend, according to customer requirements for many different participation processes.
Our current technology stack includes the following:
•React.js
•SCSS
•Python/Django
•HTML5 (browser compatibility starting from IE10)
•Build process with Webpack
•SQL
•Git with Github
Your Profile
•You are a developer and have proven practical experience with most elements of
our technology stack
•You know how to develop reusable components.
•You enjoy learning new technologies and improving your skills as well as our
code base.
•You feel comfortable to get in touch with our customers, partners and userbase
from time to time.
•You are looking for a job in Berlin with a 4 to 5 days week.

Wir sind ein überparteilicher gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Berlin. Seit unserer Gründung
2009 arbeiten wir an neuartigen Konzepten und Methoden zur digitalen Bürgerbeteiligung.
Der Kern unserer Arbeit besteht in der Entwicklung der freien Beteiligungs-Software
Adhocracy. Diese bietet je nach Erfordernissen der Nutzer*innen und je nach Art der Beteiligung verschiedene Funktionen an, um leicht zugängliche Online-Partizipation zu ermöglichen.
Du wirst als Teil unseres Entwicklungsteams in einem Scrum-Prozess Webanwendungen
entwickeln.
Deine Aufgaben
In enger Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Entwickler*innen, Designer*innen und
Projektmanager*innen wirst Du Open Source Software für Onlinebeteiligung erarbeiten.
Das umfasst das Implementieren von Features sowohl im Backend als auch Frontend
entsprechend verschiedener Anforderungen innerhalb verschiedener Beteiligungsprozesse.

•Du bist Entwickler*in und hast bereits praktische Erfahrungen mit den meisten Technologien
aus unserem Stack gesammelt
•Du bist in der Lage, wiederverwendabre Komponenten zu entwickeln
•Du hast Spaß am Erlernen neuer Technologien und bist motiviert, sowohl deine Fähigkeiten
als auch unsere Codebase zu verbessern.
•Du suchst nach einem Job in Berlin mit 4 bis 5 Arbeitstagen pro Woche.
