Vorlesung: Spezialisierungsmodul Politik im außereuropäischen Vergleich Politische Systeme Afrikas, Asiens und Lateinamerikas Vorlesungsbeschreibung zum Asienteil Der Vorlesungsteil zu Asien wird die Regionen Ost-, Süd- und Südostasien behandeln und zunächst, ähnlich wie jener zu Lateinamerika, das Staatsverständnis seit der Dekolonisation beleuchten. Miteinzubeziehen zum Verständnis der Gegenwart sind hier aber auch die Verquickung asiatischer Kulturen sowie die Kontinuität historischer und indigener kulturelle Züge bei gleichzeitiger Übernahme westlicher Institutionen. In der Folge sollen die sozioökonomische Entwicklung und die sich daraus ergebenden wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Fragen und Konflikte untersucht werden. Die Beziehung zwischen Idividuum und staatlichen Institutionen wird dabei eine wichtige Rolle spielen.
