Synopsis “I always remember the day I saw for the first time the redwoods. That was the day my life began…” “There is this line, I cannot cross…” EVERETT -4- redwoods Interview with David Lewis by Donald Munro [Reel Pride] What's your film about? "Redwoods" is a romantic drama about Everett, whose comfortable life with his partner and son is turned upside down when he falls for a writer visiting the Redwoods country. In a nutshell, it's about the tough choices that come with true love -- a story that touches on fidelity, family and loyalty. Anyone of any persuasion should be able to relate to this film. What was the hardest thing about getting your film made? I don't know where to start. Shooting in the redwoods creates enormous cinematography challenges, particularly when you have characters in most of the shots. We were on location for three weeks, with virtually no Internet or cell phone access, and it was surprisingly hot up there. We were also using the Red camera, which was just coming off the assembly line and still had technical problems to iron out. Yet when all was said and done, the film looked beautiful, so that's what I will remember the most. What do you hope audiences take away from your film? I want them to have an emotional experience, to look back at the romances and loves of their lives, to feel something, to reflect. Many film goers have told me that this film really stays with them, long after the final scene, and that's exactly what I am hoping. -5- PRO-FUN MEDIA Fimverleih presents a film by David Lewis redwoods CAST (In order of appearance) Chase Matthew Montgomery Everett Brendan Bradley Miles Tad Coughenour Billy Caleb Dorfman Shane Simon Burzynski Anna Clara Brighton Tess Elinor Bell Woodson Cole Panther DeeDee Libby Zelber Tourist Bill Gollihur Jessica Laurie Burke CREW Written and Directed by David Lewis Produced by Bill Gollihur Executive Producers Raymond Murray,Kirkland Tibbels, Richard Wolff Director of Photography Joe E.
