Unsere Lösung
Die zunehmende Automatisierung im
Mittelstand erfordert innovative Konzepte für leistungsstarke, aber kostengünstige Systemlösungen zur
Steuerung von Fertigungszellen und
-systemen. Mit cosmos 4 steht eine
verteilte, agentenbasierte Plattform
für die Fertigungsleittechnik zur Verfügung, die einfach an die spezifischen Anforderung von kleinen bis
großen flexiblen Fertigungssystemen
in der Zerspanung und Blechbearbeitung angepasst werden kann.
Die cosmos 4 Plattform umfasst
− ein generisches Objektschema
zur Abbildung von Strukturen und
Abläufen in Fertigungssystemen,
− projektierbare Steuerungsagenten, die über einen universellen
Steuerungskern mittels XMLbasierter Scripte programmiert
werden können,
− ein Funktionsbausteinkonzept,
durch das Steuerungsagenten in
ihrer Funktionalität verändert und
erweitert werden können,
− eine nachrichtenbasierte Kommunikationsplattform für die flexible
Gestaltung von Interaktionsprotokollen für die Steuerung.
Aufgrund der sehr unterschiedlichen
anwendungsspezifischen Anforderungen an die Leittechnik kommen in
heutigen Fertigungssystemen vorwiegend herstellerspezifische Lösungen zum Einsatz. Häufig bilden
bereits die verwendeten Datenmodelle Einschränkungen in der
Abbildung von Fertigungssystemen.
Ebenso können die Ablaufsteuerungsfunktionen nur durch Eingriffe
in den Quellcode geändert werden.

Our Solution
The growing trend for automation in
small and medium-sized enterprises
requires innovative concepts on sophisticated, but affordable solutions
for the control of flexible manufacturing systems (FMS). With cosmos 4 a
distributed, agent-based control solution has been developed that can be
easily adapted to the varying requirements of small to large-scale
FMS in chipping and sheet metal
industries.
The cosmos 4 platform provides:
− a generic object schema for modelling structures and processes in
FMS
− projectable control agents with a
universal logical control engine
that can be programmed with
XML-based scripts
− a sophisticated concept for Functional Units that can be applied to
adapt and extend the agents’ control functionality
− a message-based communication
platform that supports flexible interaction protocols
Today’s commercial FMS control systems are mostly FMS vendor-specific
solutions because of the manifold
domain-specific requirements. The
lack in adaptability often results from
data model constraints that prevent
the mapping of new FMS types. Furthermore, changing the operations
control logic requires significant
changes in the control software’s
source code that finally result in expensive adaptation efforts.
