„Licht des Ostens“ bei ARS Produktion im Juni

Wir freuen uns über die Neuerscheinung unserer CD „Licht des Ostens“ bei ARS Produktion im Juni 2014
Live-Aufnahme unseres Konzertes am 6. Dezember 2013 in der Kartäuserkirche Basel
Das Programm folgt dem Mysterium des christlichen Glaubens, welches die
wichtigsten Stationen der Welt- und Menschengeschichte aus christlicher
Sicht in ihrer Beziehung zu Gott spiegelt: Schöpfung, Sündenfall, Rettung,
Verrat, Auferstehung. Dieses Mysterium wird im Kirchenjahr durch die
Kirchenfeste und den täglichen Gottesdienst repräsentiert und immer wieder
aufs Neue erlebt.
Durch die Auswahl der Stücke soll das Licht des Ostens leuchten; nicht nur,
weil die Musik aus dem katholischen und orthodoxen Osten kommt, sondern
auch, weil diese so unterschiedlichen Klänge sich auf die zentrale Gestalt der
Christenheit beziehen: „Osten ist sein Name“ erklingt in einem unserer
Gesänge.
The program follows the mystery of the Christian faith, which reflects the
most important stations of the history of the world and mankind from a
Christian perspective in their relationship to God: Creation, the Fall of Man,
Salvation, Betrayal, and Resurrection. This mystery is represented in the
liturgical year by the church feasts and the daily worship service, and
experienced anew time and again.
Through the choice of the pieces, the light of the East is to shine: not only
because the music comes from the Catholic and Orthodox East, but also
because these so different sounds relate to what the center of these two
currents represent, namely Jesus Christ: “East is his name” is to be heard in
one of our songs.
