You have read KnutKnust’s blog and you decide to write a comment on it.
Write at least 200 words in German. You could include the following:
 write what you think about going to the cinema.
 describe your last visit to the cinema. Was it a positive or negative experience?
 write your opinion about DVDs and downloads.
 how do you think people will watch films in the future? Why?

Ins Kino zu gehen ist ein super Erlebnis! Ich gehe einmal im Monat, wenn ich
genug Geld habe und wenn meine Freunde mitkommen können. Es ist viel
besser, einen Film auf der großen Leinwand zu sehen.
Vor zwei Wochen habe ich „Quantum of Solace“ gesehen, obwohl ich nicht gern
James-Bond-Filme sehe. Meine beste Freundin hat den Film gewählt, weil sie ein
Fan von Daniel Craig ist. Neben dem Kino gibt es ein italienisches Restaurant, wo
wir Pizza gegessen haben. Die Pizza war besser als der Film!
Ich sehe manchmal DVDs zu Hause oder bei meiner Freundin, wenn wir
babysitten. Das finde ich gut. Ich lade nie Filme herunter, weil ich mich mehr für
Musik interessiere.
In Zukunft sehen wir wahrscheinlich mehr Filme über unsere Computer, aber das
Kinoerlebnis wird immer noch besser sein!

Examiner’s commentary
At Grade A ideas and points of view should be expressed and explained. There
should also be a variety of vocabulary, structure and verb tenses.
In this piece, opinions are expressed and explained, for example: “Es ist viel
besser ..., weil …,”, “Das finde ich gut, wenn …”, but there are lots of other
opinions too, for example: “ein super Erlebnis”, “ich sehe nicht gern”, “ich
interessiere mich für …”, “… glaube ich, dass …”.
Statements are qualified by the use of “wenn” and “obwohl” and the variety of
structure is further enhanced by the use of “weil” and “dass” with correct word
order as well as “wo” introducing a subordinate clause.
The use of a modal verb in a subordinate clause is to be noted, for example:
“wenn meine Freunde mitkommen können”.
Past, present and future tenses are all in evidence, sometimes in subordinate
clauses with correct word order.
