Use and Formation Use - The future tense is used to describe events which will happen in the future. Formation – Part of the verb werden + an infinitive at the end of the sentence, which always has – en – on the end Ich werde spielen Er/Sie wird Wir werden + gehen hören Future Tense Sentences • • • • • • • Ich werde mich sonnen. Ich werde Fuβball spielen. Ich werde schwimmen. Ich werde reiten. Ich werde meine Hausaufgaben machen. Ich werde Musik hören. Ich werde surfen. OPINIONS IN THE FUTURE TENSE To express an opinion in the future tense you have to say: That will be…… Das wird [qualifier + Opinion] sein. Or… I hope/ think that will be… Ich hoffe / denke das es [qualifier and Opinion] sein wird. Inversions in the Future Tense When you insert a time phase you must invert the subject and the verb. For example. Ich werde Basketball spielen. Um zwei Uhr werde ich Basketball spielen. Wir werden im Restaurent essen. Danach werden wir im Restaurent essen.
