Die Fakultät für Chemie und die Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker gemeinsam mit SFB 613: Physik von Einzelmolekülprozessen und molekularer Erkennung in organischen Systemen International Graduate School of Chemistry and Biochemistry laden ein zum Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Burkhard König Universität Regensburg “Molecular Recognition with Metal Complexes and Heterocycles” Selective recognition of peptides under physiological conditions, specific binding of a protein surface or guided self-assembly of molecules on surfaces are challenging tasks in supramolecular chemistry. Synthetic receptors that can achieve such tasks are interesting as diagnostic tools in medicinal chemistry and molecular biology, due to their higher stability and simpler functionalization compared to antibodies. The lecture presents our recent examples of metal complex based luminescent synthetic receptors, organic peptide mimics and guided self-assembly at interfaces. Their properties are compared with related systems from literature. selective coordination O H N and intramolecular R binding O O O O O O H O O N O O Cu N N i+3 N O O O O + O O O NH3 N N O H O yield emission signal Luminescent dipeptide receptor i+3 N O H Oi H N Br iO H N H Heterocyclic peptide mimic References: S.
